Private Violin Lessons

Nataly Pogrebetsky received most of her musical training at the State Conservatory in Baku, Russia, where she studied from 1979 to 1984 and received her master's degree. Following these years, Nataly worked as a violin teacher and also as an artist at the Chamber Company. Over the 30 years span of her career, Nataly has developed a passion for tutoring children of various ages and has received many noteworthy prizes of excellence in the instruction of children.
Nataly has been living Canada for over ten years and has continued her work as a violin teacher for all this time. During these 15 years in Canada, Nataly's students have received many prizes in different musical competitions. For instance, in the past two years, five of her students received numerous prizes from Kiwanis Music Festival some of these awards are listed below:
- 2011 - in the Kiwanis Fraser Valley International Music Festival, several of her students won the following prizes:
- Nathan Dong - Repertoire - Four years of study - Silver
- Karl Schmidt - Repertoire - One year of study - Silver
- Kevin Chuang - Baroque Composers - Grade 7 - Silver
String Duets or Trio - 10 years and under - Silver
- Ching Wai Wong, Hao Jia Zhao, Karl Schmidt
String Duets or Trio - 14 years and under - Silver
- Kevin Chuan, Lynn Jin, Nathan Dong
- 2009 - in the Kiwanis Fraser Valley International Music Festival, several of her students won the following prizes:
- Kevin Chung - Repertoire Grade 4 - Gold
- Lucas Liu - Grade 6 - Silver
- Robin Ma - Bach Solo - Silver
- Laurie Chang - Grade 7 - Silver
- Craig Hu - Grade 9 - Bronze
- Jan Hu - Grade 9 - Silver

- 2008 - Nataly's students received the following prizes from the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival:
- Lucas Liu - First place in the category: Romantic composers of the 20th century
- Lucas Liu- Second place in One Year experience category
- In the same year at the Kiwanis Fraser Valley International Music Festival her students received the following prizes:
- Lucas Liu- Gold
- Elaine Du- Silver
- Greg Hu- Bronze as well as the group ensemble prize - Bronze
- 2007 - in the Kiwanis Fraser Valley International Music Festival, several of her students won the following prizes:
- Ian Hu - Silver
- Elaine Du- Silver
- Monica Lui - Bronze
- 2003 - Anny Chen was accepted into Purcell International Music School in the United Kingdom
- 2004 & 2005 - Nataly's students received 12 prizes from Kiwanis Musical Competition
- 2002 - Michelle Chiang won Second place in the CMC
- 2001 - Anny Chen, won third place in the Canadian Musical Competition (CMC)
Throughout these competitions Nataly has received many complementing notes from the judges, praising her skills as a teacher of music.
